To be blunt, this violates the principles and aspirations of our founding fathers and the constitution they put together that is supposed to guarantee our freedoms listed therein as United States citizens.

The bottom line is this, we are losing freedoms more and more with the introduction of each new United States congress, and, as is the concern of this blog, we are losing our personal health care freedoms at an alarming rate. It is up to us, the people, to take it back through our right to vote and through letting our state and US senators and representatives know that they need to be representing us, upholding our rights, as well as upholding the constitution which they took and oath to do.

Stretching: Stay Active for Life

Stretching on a daily/regular basis is a key component in remaining active well into your latter years. I am sure you have seen some fairly elderly (and not so elderly) people who look like their bodies are very tight and stiff and they can barely get up and get around. This may very well be a symptom of inflexibility brought on by a lack of stretching and activity through the years.

Think about it for a moment. What will happen it you don't stretch out your muscles and use them on a regular basis. As you get older and become less active your muscles will begin to tighten up and eventually contract to such a degree that you become even less active.

It is somewhat of a vicious circle. No stretching, over time, leads to tight and contracting muscles, which leads to less and less physical activity, which leads to less muscle mass and strength, which leads to even more inactivity, which ultimately leads to a prematurely old, stiff, tired, and frail body. Now let's be honest, none of us really want that to be our lot in life as we head into our "golden" years...or not so "golden" in this example.

So, what do you need to do. It is simple. Stretch out all your major muscle groups on a daily basis. Stretch your back out. Stretch your quadriceps and your hamstrings. Stretch your neck and down through your shoulders. Stretch your chest out. You don't have to spend a long time doing this each day, but just make certain you are stretching properly and effectively.

If you are somebody whose job, etc. requires you to sit for large portions of the day, then this is extremely relevant to you. Your bodies get even less "normal" and day-to-day "life" activity than others who may be on their feet more frequently, and if you don't purposefully do regular stretching your body will pay the price down the road. So, just take 5-10 minutes a day (or on a regular basis) to implement a basic stretching routine.

On top of this, stay active by doing some sort of regular exercising. It can be as simple as taking a walk, riding a bike, swimming, jogging, etc. Just keep your muscles and body stretched and active now, and you will stay active for life.

Simply put, vitamin c is good for your all around general health...from boosting your immune system to helping in degenerative disease (i.e. heart disease, strokes, cancer, diabetes etc.) prevention, etc., etc., etc.

Lemons are frequently used for diets and weight loss. You can add lemons (or lemon juice) to water and start drinking it throughout the day. This can be done as a diet or fast for several days, which will help to cleanse your colon/digestive system. And a clean colon will allow for better assimilation of other nutrients from your diet as well as facilitate a better-working elimination system (i.e. you will notice an uptick in restroom visits). All of this will help lead to better health, energy, and the loss of unnecessary weight and sludge hanging out in your colon.

Lemons can also be mixed with water and extra-virgin olive oil into a liver-cleaning cocktail. That's right, you can make a mixture of cut up lemons (skin and seeds included), extra-virgin olive oil, and water to assist in cleansing your liver. And since your liver is your body's main filter, a clean, healthy, and efficient working liver is a necessity.

One easy and potentially very affective thing you can do right now to keep from getting cancer is to add laetrile (or more of it) to your diet. Laetrile (also known as vitamin B-17) is known in many alternative health circles as a cancer inhibitor -- it helps to stop cancer in your body before it has time to get started.

It does this by coming into direct contact with cancer cells, but it seems to work in somewhat of a random way. So, the suggestion is to implement more laetrile into your diet now and the better the chance it will destroy any current or future cancer cells from growing and/or metastasizing.

The good thing about adding laetrile to your diet is it can be done through food alone. Cleaner is better, and regular juicing will definitely start cleaning up the mess in your colon.

So, juicing will help get rid of the garbage and toxins hanging around inside your colon, and allow your colon to make better use of the good stuff that you do eat. The great thing about this is that when you juice you are also giving your body the “good stuff.” It’s no secret that fruits and vegetables are loaded with all sorts of nutrients that will, when eaten often, help make your body into a mean, lean, energy machine. And that is exactly what juicing can help do for you. Juicing squeezes just about every last drop of vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and nutritional goodness out of the fruits and veggies (including the skin and the seeds) you put into your juicer.

One other plus to juicing is it allows people who don’t normally like vegetables, or, conversely, fruit, to be able to add them to their daily diet. How? If you don’t like veggies, yet you realize their health value, you simply add a little bit of those vegetables to your daily juicing routine and all the other fruit you add will easily cover-up the taste, or vice-versa if you don’t like fruit. Try it.

Also, some people don’t eat certain fruits or vegetables because they don’t like the texture or consistency of them. Juicing takes care of that problem as well. When you juice, all you are left with is a nice refreshing glass of 100% natural, no additives or preservatives, juice. No unpleasant textures or consistencies to worry about whatsoever.

So, what are the drawbacks to juicing? If you like either fruits or vegetables, and you can handle a daily glass of juice, the drawbacks are very few. But, if you want nitpick, you can probably come up with a few. First, there is the cost involved: the cost of purchasing the juicer itself (they come in various shapes, sizes, and prices) and the cost of the fruits and veggies you put in it. Second, you do have to find a few minutes to get the juicer out, wash your fruits and veggies, put a glass under the juicer’s pour spout, feed your chosen produce into the juicing machine, and then clean up. Third, well, you fill in the blank, because I can’t think of any more.

Seriously, if you don’t mind putting in that little bit of effort, juicing may very well be just what the doctor ordered…literally. And who knows, you also just might find yourself in an infomercial pitching exactly how juicing dramatically changed your health…all the while showing off your “mean, lean, energy machine” body in a somewhat tight fitting jumpsuit.
